LOVE vs. LUST

Here's a joanna thought for you.

LOVE is the desire to benefit ANOTHER at the Expense of ONE's SELF.
LUST is the desire to benefit ONE's SELF at the Expense of ANOTHER.

LOVE is always a verb. It is always an action. Which then causes feelings to surface. Just like exercise releases endorphens within the body to make us feel good after we have exercised.

LOVE is NOT the same thing as infatuation. LOVE is not necessarily liking someone or something.

LOVE is NOT man pleasing, enabling or condoning for the sake of NOT upsetting the other individual - (just watch TV's Intervention)

LOVE is NOT without boundaries, accountability, responsibility and rules.

LOVE is NOT squashed by those, but instead bountiful because of the safety and security those provide.

LOVE is can be expressed in disagreements, disapprovals and rebukes.

LOVE does not avoid those to seek approval of men.

LUST is the Counterfeit of LOVE - and if you switch the word Love for lust in the above sentences and take out not, where you see it or insert it where it isn't with love, You'll see how lust-greed-selfish ambition operates.

I have so much to learn about TRUE LOVE.

Jesus was Loving when embraced the blind, demon possessed, crippled and lepers, When he in wisdom spoke from the hillside and imparted wisdom through parables and teachings, BUT HE was also LOVE when He thrashed out the Temple, rebuked the Pharisees and religious leaders, when He made harsh statements to His disciples, ignored people seeking Him and didn't save John the baptist from being beheaded.

LOVE is perfectly balanced Mercy and Judgment.
