Ok I just had a conversation with someone regarding the teaching I did on Living Stones and they were curious about the pictures I mentioned that I had not been able to bring about car sized crystals found in caves of Mexico - (Listen to the teaching on the 'Audio Messages Page' scroll down to find and play it) So here are just a few and if you want to watch the show that National Geographic is doing on the study of these caves watch it on their channel Monday Nov 17th, 10pm. - These mines are the Giant Crystal Caves in Naica Mexico.
God continually blows my mind! I just think it is amazing - and causes me to reflect on scripture from Revelation about the foundation stones of the New Jerusalem, huge building blocks of diamonds, sapphire, ruby, emerald, jacincth, topaz etc, etc, etc, - People often look at it an say - oh thats symbolic - PERHAPS - but does that me that God CANNOT create a city with stones that large - WHY? because we in our finite and often small sighted understandings based on our temporal world doubt God's ability - With God hiding these monsters (they are the largest know crystals in the world) and tucking them in the earth until the year 2000 just to shock and stupify humans, I have to laugh and stand more in awe of His Great attention to detail!
I watched a show recently on the history channel about the Mayans and their temples, they used this same crystals to build their temples, though weathered beaten by centuries of wind, sun and rain, they have deteriorated, but when originally hewn, they were probably polished and would have been a 'gloriously radiant' temple when the sun hit it. SOOOOOO Why cant our God have better?
Check them out - They are cool - Actually they are HOT - 120 degrees. (doesn't it remind anyone of the Fortress of Solitude with Superman? - Man's imagination, But God had already created these, though mankind had not yet found them - amazing!)

Streams in Barren places - and Financial Famines
I've been contemplating the serious financial crisis that not just America is currently in but the entire world. Seems like the times are getting more and more foreboding. Certainly, the financial institutions that have for long time made everyone feel secure and prosperous are in serious dilemma. How many people have taken hard hits in the stock market? How many are seriously concerned about their retirement nest egg? How many are hard hit when it comes to credit and the housing market? I dare say we all are. What kind of fear will it produce in the world's economy system and how will those tremblings affect us.
Certainly these seem like perilous times, But where are we to focus our eyes? How can we feel safe? Certainly the answer is God, but does that mean we won't feel any pain or discomfort? No - we could very well feel much of the discomfort, but we don't have to be overcome by fear, we can overcome with trust that 'The Lord Knows and Sees'.
Much like when Hagar the servant of Abraham and Sarah, ran away - she found herself at a well of water within the wilderness and the angel of the Lord met her there and comforted her. Also when she was cast away and again the Lord provided a well of life giving water in the wilderness for her and her son. God provided for her when all else failed, and she wasn't even the one to whom the promises of God were spoken.
There are wells in the desert, barren and desolate places. When we find that the world has failed us in all respects, there is a place we can find the provision of God. The wilderness has springs, Oasis', the wilderness is where John the Baptist thrived. The Children of Israel had water and bread, as well as protection from scorching heat at day and freezing cold by night; even their shoes never wore out! We too can find the provision of the Lord, His care and concern for us in troubled times.
It may not be the comfort we've been used to, but if we follow Him and seek Him in dried up lands, even there we can find wells of living water and perhaps even be fed both bread and meat, like Elijah the prophet, by the ravens.
Gen 6:7-14, 21:9-13, 1 Kings 17:2-6

Wonder of Worship
How refreshing it is to soak in the wonder of our Great God! Worship is sooooooo much more than music. It truly is our life as we live it surrendered to God's authority. As a living Sacrifice to His ways and His will.
Having just come from a Ladies retreat this weekend, I'm still amazed at the Wonderful God we serve. His incredible love His incredible desire of fellowship with us.
The more I contemplate the Glory of God, the majesty - the more I face Him with wonder and awe. - I am astounded by His power, I am shocked by His mercy, I am overcome by His Goodness towards us. How He longs to bring victory to our lives, repair those broken places, heal our wounds, set free areas of captivity, touch our lips to speak with boldness, give our feet strength to run, walk and dance before Him!
Oh the Wonder of the Cross and the Power of His resurrection. May we never cease to be amazed!
